Harwan Garden: A Quiet Corner of Kashmir
+91

Sometimes, you don’t need grand palaces or perfectly manicured terraces. Sometimes, all you need is a little space, a soft breeze, and the sound of water flowing nearby. That’s exactly what Harwan Garden gave me.

Nestled at the base of the Zabarwan hills, Harwan feels more like a retreat than a tourist spot. There are no crowds, no noise—just wide open lawns, tall chinar trees, and a cold stream weaving gently through it all.

I spent a lazy afternoon here, lying on the grass, watching sunlight filter through leaves. Locals strolled by, some with families, some alone, and no one seemed in a rush. That’s the charm of Harwan—it slows you down without asking.

What I loved most was how natural it felt. Less formal, more real. Kids were playing, elders were chatting under the trees, and everything felt... human. Honest.

If you're in Srinagar and want a break from the busy, postcard-perfect spots, go to Harwan. Sit by the stream, listen to the breeze, and let the silence do what it does best—heal.
